Novosibirsk State University

Novosibirsk State University is considered the largest and the most important university in the central region of Russia. In addition to mastering technical specialties and fundamental sciences, there is an opportunity to study on the faculty of medicine at this university.

Novosibirsk State University, known as the most important and the only classical university in the central region of Russia, was founded in 1959. In 2007, the Ministry of Science of the Russian Federation conferred the title of “the National Research Center” upon this university.

At present, on 6 faculties of the university there study around 7000 students, including 1000 foreign students, mainly from neighboring countries. Nearly 2200 lecturers teach students at Novosibirsk State University. The fundamental and medical sciences are deemed the most popular specialties at the university.

In 2017, Novosibirsk State University ranked third among the best higher educational institutions in Russia and 250^th in the world according to the QR world university ranking. Besides, according to the World University Ranking (Times Higher Education), the university ranked fifth among the best higher educational institutions in Russia and among 401^st-500^th in the world. Currently, the university is headed by Professor Mikhail Fedoruk.

Besides, dormitories of this university have proper conditions and facilities, such as a sports center, a park, restaurants and shops, and provide the students with the adequate place for rest and study.
