Russian New University, Moscow

The Russian New University (RosNOU) is a leading Russian non-profit university under the supervision of the Ministry of Science of Russia and financially supported from the federal budget. Over many years it has been able to provide quality education.

Non-profit higher education institution RosNOU or Russian New University was founded in 1991 by authority of the Ministry of Science of Russia and in accordance with the authorizations by the Ministry.

According to the data of the Ministry of Science of Russia, at present, the university is recognized one of the best universities in Russia, and, according to Interfax information group, it has an especial position in the national ranking of Russian higher educational institutions. On the other hand, according to Expert RA rating agency, it is included in the list of the 100 best universities in Russia, and the 200 bets universities among the CIS states, including Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. In addition, the Russian New University has become a member of the International Ranking Expert Group (IREG) and has been officially nominated to the QS ranking.

The scientific activities of the university were carried out from 1999 to 2012 under the supervision of Professor Sergey Kapitsa (1928-2012) and at present are run by Professor Vladimir Zernov, a laureate of the State Prize of the USSR.

At the Russian New University, there are 20 scientific schools, 14 scientific projects related to foreign and domestic research activities. Every year at the university there are held scientific seminars and international scientific conferences under the name of Knowledge Civilization, and various scientific magazines are published under the headings ‘Vestnik of RosNOU’, ‘Special-purpose Machines and Connection’ and ‘Cardiac Measurements’.

During 25 years of work, 45,000 students graduated from the university, and at present at the Russian New University there study 13,000 students. At the university, there are 14 computer classrooms, a gym and a dormitory, having capacity of around 700 persons. According to the Ministry of Science of the Russian Federation, 80% of graduates of this university are sought-after on the labor market immediately upon the graduation.
