Pushkin State Russian Language Institute

The Pushkin State Russian Language University is the only higher educational institution in Russia, which teaches Russian language as a foreign one.

The Pushkin State Russian Language University is the only university in Russia, which teaches Russian language at all levels of the education. In 1966, under the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov there was set up the Russian Language Research Guidance Center. In those same years, there was set up the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature. The university became the coordinator and organizer of all the teachers of Russian language and literature in Russia and abroad. In 1973, by order of the Government, the Center was renamed into the Pushkin Russian Language Institute and was included in the list of Russian state universities. The faculties, which are offered at this university: linguistics, cultural studies, grammar of Russian language. Doctor of Education Margarita Rusetskaya is currently the Rector of the university.

The Pushkin State Russian Language University has many years’ and successful experience in teaching of Russian language, training of teachers of Russian language, development and formation of the guidance for teaching of Russian language as a foreign one.

The university’s dormitory is in the form a complex, which is integral with the training building of the faculty. The training building is connected with this dormitory through a corridor. Rooms of the dormitory, which are twin rooms and suites, are located on floors 2-14.
