Russian State University of Tourism and Services Studies

Russian State University of Tourism and Services Studies is the most important and best higher education institution in the area of tourism, services, hotel management and restaurant business in Russia.

The university was founded in 1952 under the name of the Higher School of Industrial Cooperation on the outskirts of Moscow. In 1988, at the university there was set up an educational association in the area of public services, which included 16 higher education institutions. In 1991, it was renamed into Moscow State University of Services Studies. Up until then, around 52,000 persons had graduated from the university, including many prominent people that held senior posts in government and non-government organizations, as well as in the hotel business, restaurant business and in tourism. Finally, in 2007 this institution was renamed into Russian State University of Tourism and Services Studies.

The students of this university study on 8 faculties in four branches. The University of Tourism is included in the 100 best universities of Russia since 2007 and is one of the leading and best universities of Russia in the area of tourism and services.

At present, the Rector of Russian State University of Tourism and Services Studies is Aleksandr Fedulin.
