Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University

It is one of the largest specialized universities in Russia, which specializes in such areas as engineering, physics, economics, humanities and information technologies.

In addition to the correspondence and international course, at the university there are 50 bachelor training programs, 200 master training programs and 90 doctoral degree programs. The university is a national research polytechnic educational institution, which combines interdisciplinary research and developments and the advanced technologies to train the graduates to enter the modern competitive labour market.

At the university, there study more than 31,000 students, among whom there are around 6,000 foreign students from 100 other countries.

The Polytechnic University cooperates with 300 universities, 130 research institutes and more than 150 companies from 50 countries of the world.

Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University has more than 20 international research centers, which conduct research together with such big companies as Motorola, Microsoft, Siemens, LG, Apple, IT.

In the program dated 10/05/2020, the university’s strategic objective is to turn the Polytechnic University, by means of its modernization and development, into the educational and research center, which is competitive on the world level, which combines interdisciplinary scientific research and global technologies and will become one of the most distinguished universities in the world.

It is intended that up to 2020 the Polytechnic University will have become one of top 100 best universities in the QS world university ranking.
